It was formed in the twentieth century with the formation of conglomerates all over Buenos Aires. There, lived countrymen who came from the interior of the country, european inmigrants and some “porteños” with scarce resources. All of them formed a new social class as a way of being identified. This was the beginning of the Tango. Most knew as: La Cumparsita, El Choclo, el Entreriano, Quejas de Bandoneon, A fuego Lento, La Yumba, Uno, Milongueando en el 40’, Danzarin, Verano Porteño, etc.
Besides musiciens the most important ones are Armando Pontier, Osvaldo Pugliese, Anibal Troilo, Julio de Caro, HoracioSalgan, Mariano Mores, Astor Piazzolla, etc.
The most importants poets were: Homero Manzi, Alfredo La Pera, Zeledónio Flores, Homero Exposito, Horacio Ferrer, Catulo Castillo and Pascual Contursi.
But the most important one was Carlos Gardel; who was the prototype figure in Buenos Aires apart from his voice or ways of interpreting the Tango.
We have to mention also to Edmundo Rivero, Angel Vargas, Alberto Castillo, Hugo del Carril, roberto goyeneche, Alberto Marino, Azucena Maizani, Libertad Lamarque, Nelly Omar, Alba Solis and Maria Granis.
